We all love cereal, its a cheap and amazing breakfast that takes absolutely no time at all to make. In todays
world their are hundreds of choices for your morning ceral needs, i will compare to of my healthy favorites, kellogg’s and cheerios.
First off a little about the companies, Kellogg’s was founded in 1906 by Will Keith Kellogg while Cheerios is a brand of breakfast cereal by General Mills and it was introduced in 1941 as the ready-to-eat cold cereal. Kellogg’s accounts for around 31.5 per cent of the US market, and together with General Mills, the pair dominate the cereal market. Both these companies have a variety of product in the market and have been competing for a long time . The sale of both these companies is highly dependent on the coupons and promotional discounts. Nowadays the people/customers are highly price dependent and any price fluctuations can change the market situation completely.
Taste cannot be compared as both products offer different pallets for the breakfast connoisseur, so we will have to look at overall brand loyalty. My vote is with kelloggs, i say this because Kelloggs is a brand that was made and developed solely for cereal, we all know general mills has its hand in almost every food out their so its nice to know that kelloggs started in just the cereal industry. Kellogg’s products are manufactured in 18 countries and marketed in more than 180 countries around the world. Even after having a tough competition, Kellogg’s maintained its position in the class of ready to eat cereals. . . Cheerios alone only represents around 13 per cent of all cereal sales in the US, according to the firm, and these moves by General Mills could put even more pressure on Kellogg’s, but overall the market is dominated by Kellogg’s Product.
